I'm Featured, and a GIVEAWAY!

Here is where to go to read the rest! How cool! Thanks, Christy;)

New Fabrics!

These are new home decor fabrics that I just got from one of my fabric companies. I have accounts with various distributors and carry their fabric books in my shop for the custom upholstery work I do. Customers can usually find exactly what they are looking for in the wide range of what I have to offer.

Kravet is one of my faves. I chose these from one of thier collections to show today as they are looking to autumnal colors that could carry a room year round.

Keep checking back for interesting and durable high quality fabrics. I will be doing a fabric post weekly from now on. Lots of exciting colors and textures in store! And if you see something you like, I can get it for you;)

How We Decorate

With HANDMADE of course!

This is my daughter's preschool creation. A spider web made by laying a piece of circular paper in a pan, letting the kid glob a squirt of paint in the middle, throw in a marble, and let them tilt it around to make a spooky web! Glue on a plastic spider for the final touch. I was pleasantly surprised to find these in the decoration stash -fun paper chains that I made last year. Freehand snippets taped together. Fun to make and interesting to look at all season.
And of course, a display of gourds, pumpkins, and creepy crawly chunky rubber spiders!

The Great Halloween Lantern Parade

Well, a rain date pushed back our parade this year, be were happy to attend a day late! We had a great time at the parade which is put on yearly by a team of heard working artists and performers. Children and adults across Baltimore build lanterns to carry, lit by candlelight through the dark parade route. Truly an evening cloaked in magic and excitement!

Voodoo Fest NOLA

Voodoo Fest is happening this Friday, Sat and Sunday in New Orleans, LA. My sister Maria of Yabettasupadont will be selling in the Village Section of the event. This is a HUGE venue, a line up of an almost uncoutable band lineup including Erykah Badu, R.E.M, and NIN among a bazillion others. I am sure it will be all the awesomeness New Orleans has to offer and MORE. I shipped a bunch of jewelry down to her, so if you are going to be attening, check put Maria's booth!

Yummies From SwissMissBakery

So, I attended an Etsy Trunk Show for the Edible Arts Team last week while my husband was making microwave 'smores in the kitchen. Heh, can you tell where this is going?

The homemade marshmallows in the SwissMissBakery intrigued me. I was happily browsing the tempting and beautiful pictures in her store when I found she offers one of my all time favorites: delicious chocolate dipped honeycomb candy. -I was hooked. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted, but Jackie put together a nice sampler full of goodies for me and shipped it out.

Anxiously awaiting the arrival of my sweet package, I knew I had to wait until after dinner to share this with my 3 yr old. Marshmallows are her current favorite sweet. We had an awesome time with our taste test tonight. It was everything I expected and more! Here is how it went:

We were happy girls!

Erica Roberts and Her Beautiful Necklaces!

Fellow Baltimore Etsy Team Member Erica Roberts CEK Custom Designs used my tigerlily stamp to create some unique one of a kind pmc jewelry. She shows her creativity, cutting out the lily, setting a stone, and applying her sensibilities to various materials.
The first 2 are done in silver metal clay and finished with sterling silver chains and clasps. The third is made from bronzclay and is finished with a suede cord and bronzclay coin toggle. I mean, COOL!
Erica and I will be selling our wares together on Oct. 11th at the Taste of Waverly on October 11th, 4-9pm. Come by and say hello!
