I have a few silver rings in stock, sizes 7-13 each one of a kind. Real nature pieces pressed into metal. These are hydrangea petals from early in the season. I collected these last spring here in Maryland.

Veggies of the Week

We visited our neglected overgrown garden yesterday to see what was happening there. Tons of tomatoes, carrots, beets, beans, wow. Finally the sun and rain have balanced in our late summer days and we are getting voracious growth (including tons of weeds). Hooray!

But washing the swiss chard, this little critter ran for it, trying to stay above the waterline. Very exciting. We are going to try and keep him healthy and encourage cocoon building. At least someone will eat all of that chard around here. And of course, it is tomato season. So happy to sample the sweet juicy heirloom tastes that we have been waiting for. All of these plants were started from seed inside in the spring. It is so satisfying to get a bounty after all of this time waiting.

No Cats Allowed, just sayin'

Seems every time my daughter and I take up some space on the floor, out cat comes and butts in. She lays across the paper we are drawing on, lays across the book we are reading, lays on the game we are playing... So the other day she asked if we could make a "No Cat's Allowed" sign. I made one first so we could practice tracing letters. Then Ada made her own -her way.

So, we'll keep this sign around when the kitty is in the way. It seems to work.

Summertime

Brett painted a beautiful shop sign for my show in Maine. I was excited to do my fist show up there and have a real booth to show in, only to have a total bomb of a sale. Unfortunately no one was buying, some vendors didn't bother to even show up the second day it was so bad. But I did connect with some great new vendors and meet some interesting crafters from Maine.

It was a good networking show where I had a chance to wander and talk with many of the vendors. I bought a great interactive cat napper from Maine-ly Cats , traded for some super cool jewelry with Vieve Designs, and was lucky to be next to Shauna's World -very talented and inspiring eco firendly children's apparel and accessories.
I even stopped in the Art & Soul Gallery in Ogunquit, ME and felt it would be a good fit for both my button jewelry and the copper line. I am happy to have made the connection there, so if you are up that way, stop in and check out the shop!
