I scored some really cool vintage flowers from Japan and Korea on my trip to NYC this past December. I am fooling around with some designs for next season. Using my silk buttons and little bouquets of these flowers, I'm looking at brooches, hair clips, headbands, barrettes.I'm considering custom wedding work, too. I could see making buttons with wedding fabric scraps, special keepsakes for the bridal party, or sweet sixteen court, or some other fancy occasion. Custom work is my specialty, I love making things special for people with meaningful materials.
