Christmas Cooking

I am trying to squeeze in some baking this season. It is important to me to at least make some cranberry bread and a few cookies. I can't go too overboard since we are still working on furniture around here....

I had to get a picture of these loaves, they we so warm and cozy in there. This is the same holiday bread that my mom makes every year -minus the nuts thank you! For as long as I can remember, I have watched this stuff rise and brown in the oven. Yummy.

Now, back to this chair that is staring at me in the studio. And one more (maybe not the last) trip to the post office for my rush orders.

Thistle Necklace from BijouxJardin

Look at this great creation from fellow Etsian Sharon Palac, aka BijouxJardin.

Using the images from my Garden Pond Stamp Collection she has created her own handmade focal bead for this piece. Take a look at her shop, she makes really nice mixed media jewelry. Beautiful copper, silver, and various stones coordinate striking pieces or all sorts. I love to see the creativity!

Great Stocking Stuffers

Danamarie Holser is one talented illustrator, teacher, mural painter, sculptor -the list goes on. I picked these coloring books up last summer for my daughter and I am so glad I did. Inside each one is problem solving, rhyming, and great imagery. In her shop you can find a wonderfully imaginative world of knitimals. Soaps, coloring books, games, pins, masks, plushies, lots of great gifts for kids and adults alike.

This one is from the Make Me a Knitimal ACTIVITY COLORING BOOK.

My daughter and I were exploring this one last night. To my surprise, this little guy was created. The triangle between his legs is a tail wagging. Not sure what all that other stuff is... LOL.

Cherrycreek's Lovely Necklace

Heather Gill is a fellow etsian of Cherrycreek.etsy.com who has a unique creative sensibility. Leaving the culinary world after having her daughter, she needed an outlet for her artistic vision. She took some interest in metalwork and has been creating one of a kind items ever since.

Heather resides in Scottsdale, AZ! She contacted me to show me what she made with my rubber stamp images! I was so excited to see this beautiful reversible pendant with PMC. A really unique piece, love it!

Biting the Bullet

This double lily is blooming in my backyard city garden this week. It has inspired me.

Ok, this is a new endevor, starting this blog. I know that this is a long time comming, but I am biting the bullet this morning. I'm taking the plunge into the blogsphere...
